2024 Schedule of Events

Hoover's Hometown Days is an annual festival for residents and visitors that combines a variety of activities recognizing the unique heritage of West Branch, Iowa, hometown of Herbert Hoover, while supporting and celebrating our thriving small-town community.  This year will mark 150 Years since Hoover's birth in West Branch.  We are planning an extra special celebration on August 9-10, 2024.

Friday - Kickoff
August 9, 2024

The festival kicks off with Youth Hoover-Ball, a Kids' Tractor Pull and an adult Bags Tournament. Support the local volunteer Fire Department in the beer garden and grill. All are invited to enjoy Live Music on the Fire Station at 8pm.

Saturday
August 10, 2024

Saturday includes a jam-packed schedule featuring something for everyone!  Enjoy free family-fun like the parade, inflatables, petting zoo, giant bubbles and STEAM activities plus a variety of live music, special performances, historic reenactments, food trucks, pop-up shops and exhibitors!

August 10, 2024

New this year! Return to Hoover National Historic Site to join us for a Quaker inspired picnic to celebrate Hoover's 150th Birthday in front of the Presidential Library & Museum. Live Music and more! Picnic meals will be available for purchase. Bring your own coolers, chairs or blankets.
