Saturday, August 8th is the main event! West Branch is just 6 Miles from Iowa City, full of FREE Family Fun, and laced with mall-town traditions. It's worth the short drive!!

Freedom 250

This August, the Freedom 250 mobile museum is rolling into President Hoover's birthplace. This semi-trailer provides an immersive journey through America's founding. It will be at the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, August 5-9, 2026. Do not miss it during Hoover's Hometown Days!

Presidential Library Reopening!

On August 6th, 2026, the Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum is set to reopen after nearly 2 years of renovation work!

Submit a request if you want information about your HHTD activities added to the website or shared on social media! Please submit a separate request for each event or activity. Allow for 7 days advance notice for all creative requests. Deadline: July 1st for print materials.
