The official sport of Hoover's Hometown Days makes it's annual return to West Branch as part of the festivities. The sport involves throwing a medicine ball back and forth over the net in a cross between volleyball and tennis. If this is your first Hoover's Hometown Days, be sure to make your way down to the courts to watch a game or two!

What's better during the summer than water sports? In the Hoover's Hometown Days youth can face off against each other in a recreational game of pushing a bucket back and forth with water.
Oh, and did I mention that each one will be paired with a fire fighter and they'll be using a fire hose? Participants may (will) get slightly wet (completely drenched). Come to the fire station at 2pm on Saturday, August 6th to participate!
Friday night brings great events for people of all ages. In addition to music and food, there are great events for kids.
One of the returning and crowd-favorite events is the Lions' Pedal Tractor Pull. Free for all kids, the pedal tractor pull brings the fair event to the youth of Hoover's Hometown Days. The event begins at 6pm and will be held on 2nd Street just to the west of the fire station.
Immediately following the Tractor Pull is are the Big Wheel Races held just south of the Tractor Pull on 2nd St!
